About This Course: 

This is an introductory course in urban and public transportation planning that examines the conceptual and theoretical relationships between 
urban planning and public transport infrastructures. The whole concept is represented through transit-oriented development (TOD) planning. 
The content of the course is in four parts. The first part explains the introductory concepts of city and TOD planning, including the objectives 
and rationale of TOD encouragement in order to achieve sustainable urban development. The second part examines TOD principles in terms 
of urban design. It shows the relationships between urban form and the good use of public transportation through the core of TOD design principles. 
The third part is focused on land acquisition methods for TOD projects in both horizon and vertical space utilization. The fourth part provides 
the financial model in TOD project planning and implementation. Four experts who are working in TOD projects in Thailand are invited as guest lecturers
for this course as well.

ผลการเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวัง:

LO 1 ผู้เรียนสามารถเข้าใจแนวคิดพัฒนาเมืองรอบสถานีขนส่งมวลชน (TOD) และทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้อง
LO 2 ผู้เรียนสามารถเข้าใจหลักปฏิบัติและมาตรฐานในการออกแบบพื้นที่เมือง TOD
LO 3 ผู้เรียนสามารถเข้าในรูปแบบการได้มาซึ่งที่ดินในการพัฒนา TOD และเข้าใจความแตกต่างในการเลือกวิธีปฏิบัติในการได้มาซึ่งที่ดิน
LO 4 ผู้เรียนสามารถเข้าใจระบบการเงินและไฟแนนเชี่ยลโมเดลในการพัฒนาโครงการ TOD ในมุมมองของภาครัฐ และ เอกชน
