Course description
This course covers basic principles of accounting. After an introduction to fundamental accounting vocabulary, the course focuses on everyday accounting entries. Besides, the accrual principle of accounting will be explained, which comprises the allocation of revenues and expenses to the appropriate accounting period. Hereafter, financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) will be prepared. The students will learn with one comprehensive case-based sample firm connecting all the course subsections and quizzes stepwise. The aim is to enable students to understand the fundaments of a corporation's accounting system. "Accounting Basics for Beginners" provides necessary knowledge for all future management graduates and also for all corporate managers.
